Kat joined Clare Locke in 2022 bringing her extensive courtroom and advocacy experience to the firm. In addition to defamation and crisis management, Kat has experience in shareholder disputes, contract disputes, fraud claims, and a wide range of criminal matters. Kat is a skilled and dedicated trial attorney and a fierce advocate. Kat’s substantial trial experience includes over two hundred bench trials and eighteen jury trials.

Prior to joining Clare Locke, Kat was an associate at a litigation boutique in Fairfax County with a focus on business litigation. Kat served as a prosecutor in both Fairfax County, Virginia, and Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Kat managed a high-volume felony caseload including child sexual abuse and homicides. Additionally, Kat served as a law clerk for the Honorable H. James West on the Circuit Court of Charles County, Maryland, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Virginia and for the Honorable Shirley M. Watts, currently a justice on Maryland’s highest court.
