Jon Kaiman joined Clare Locke as an associate in 2023. He previously spent seven years as a journalist for leading publications including the Los Angeles Times and the Guardian. He applies his wealth of newsroom experience to helping clients secure corrections and retractions, conduct defamation litigation, and otherwise set the record straight.

Jon graduated from UCLA School of Law, where he was a research assistant to Professor Richard Sander and a Managing Editor of The Journal of Law & Technology. Before law school and his journalism career, Jon was a Fulbright scholar in southwest China. He speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese.
